Vilden sky

Vilden sky is a sonic diary, a scrapbook of memories and pivotal moments rendered into tracks. I'm very nostalgia driven, which is expressed in all of my cover art, the sonic materials I use in my music and the moments I've drawn inspiration from. Vilden sky means "Loud and unrestrained, everywhere" and is also a play on my name, Vilde, and the word sky, which means cloud in Norwegian. This album is all me – loud and unrestrained, my "cloud" and everything it contains.

The album is quite personal and self-referential in that it features lots and lots of field recordings and samples of family and dear friends. My approach to music creation is very collage-based, asymmetrical and improvisational. I often recycle and rework different sonic materials and samples from previous released and unreleased work as to create my own personal sonic space.
